ForMin Baconschi and Minister Udrea, along with Nadia Comaneci, Gheorghe Hagi and Ilie Nastase at EXPO Shanghai 2010

 hspace=8 src= Bucharest, July 28 /Agerpres/ - Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi is in Shanghai over July 28-30, to attend the events of Romania's National Day at EXPO 2010, due to be celebrated on Thursday, July 29.

According to the release the Romanian Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MAE) sent to Agerpres, on Wednesday, Romania's delegation to Shanghai, headed by ForMin Baconschi includes Minister of Regional Development and Tourism Elena Udrea, Romanian parliamentarians, Romania's Ambassador in Beijing Viorel Isticioaia, Romania's General Consul in Shanghai Florin Tacu and Romania's General Commissioner at EXPO 2010 Ferdinand Nagy. Also attending the events on Romania's National Day at EXPO Shanghai 2010 are the legends of the Romanian sports such as Olympic gymnast Nadia Comaneci, famous soccer player Gheorghe Hagi and former professional tennis player Ilie Nastase.

'The momentum of Romania's National Day at EXPO 2010 gives us the opportunity to capitalize our country's special relationship with China, an ever increasing traditional friendship tie, for longer than 61 years,' ForMin Baconschi stressed.

For its National Day at EXPO 2010, Romania has prepared several cultural, artistic and economic events.

The special events on Thursday start at 10:30 a.m local time (05:30 a.m. Romania's time) with the official ceremony to be attended by General Commissioner of EXPO 2010, Hua Junduo and the Romanian delegation headed by ForMin Baconschi. The folkloric ensemble Calusari Slatinei also presents a special show in the ceremony.

Another important event Romania's Pavilion plays host for, starting 3:30 p.m. local time, is that when the Regional Development and Tourism Ministry launches Romania's new tourism brand.

The National Radio Orchestra of Romania and maestro Grigore Lese and artist Damian Draghici present a show at the Red Hall of EXPO Center, which numbers 2,500 seats, starting 6 p.m local time (1 p.m. Romania's time).

The National Radio Orchestra of Romania is conducted by Tiberiu Soare, and the soloists are Alexndru Tomescu and Horia Mihail. The Orchestra's concert is presenting works such as the Ballad by Ciprian Porumbescu, Rhapsody I by George Enescu and the Blue Rhapsody by George Gershwin.
An exhibition of Romanian traditional cuisine cooked by chefs of Maria Restaurant of Romania's Pavilion, and the ‘Village and Tradition' Photography Exhibition by photographer Florin Andreescu complete the agenda of Romania's National Day at EXPO Shanghai 2010.

Over July 29 - Aug 7, Romania's Pavilion also shows an exhibition of Romanian general products, staged by the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment. Twelve Romanian companies attend the EXPO Shanghai 2010 to present their products and develop commercial ties with the Chinese partners, under the logo ‘Romania your reliable trade partner.'

With the same desire of consolidating and streamlining the Romanian Chinese commercial relations, Romania's Pavilion shelters an Investments Forum, on July 30, when important Chinese companies are invited to attend.
